Family Weekend

Anna PalmerFoster Family, Support Families

Connection was the name of the game at our first Family Weekend…and boy were there a lot of games! Volleyball, flag football, board games, card games, silly games, competitive games, inside games, outside games – all designed to help parents and kids connect with one another and with other foster/adoptive families. Thanks to The Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust and our incredible team of volunteers, families walked away from the weekend feeling connected and refreshed. We can’t wait to do it again next year! In fact, if your church is interested in forming a mission team to pull off another amazing weekend for foster/adoptive families, reach out to us at res@crossroadsnola.org

“Crossroads’ Family Weekend was such a great opportunity to connect with our kids and then also have a break. I really loved our kids getting to interact with other adoptive and fostering families.”
– Josh Koenig

“Crossroads’ Family Weekend was fun and relaxing. The kids didn’t want to leave. I wish it had been longer…like 2 weeks long!”
– Tim O’Donnell

Crossroads’ mission is to connect children in foster care to the families, individuals, and opportunities they need to thrive. We recruit new foster families from local churches, develop them into competent caregivers for kids from hard places through training in TBRI®, and support them through the ups and downs of their journey as foster parents. Join the Home Team and support this life-changing work all year long!
