Children and families involved in the child welfare system face unique challenges.

On the road to reunification and restoration, they, like all of us, need connected, healing relationships. These relationships are at the heart of what we do. The foundation of this is Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®).

TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. While TBRI® is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

To ensure cost-effective, high-quality training is available and accessible, Crossroads NOLA launched TBRI® Fridays.

TBRI® Fridays a statewide strategy designed to elevate the level of care children across Louisiana receive by providing regular, monthly TBRI® training to parents, DCFS, service providers, and community partners across the state.

Crossroads NOLA’s goal is to provide training in each of the nine Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) regions in the state. However, without generous sponsors, this is not possible.

Crossroads NOLA is seeking sponsors to help continue and expand these trainings around the state of Louisiana.

  • Leads to immediate action on behalf of vulnerable children. TBRI® Friday participants leave with knowledge and skills to provide better direct care for children who have experienced trauma.
  • Helps connect and facilitate communication and collaboration between organizations and systems that serve vulnerable children and families.
  • Makes this training accessible to state agencies and nonprofits throughout the state of Louisiana who do not have resources for high-quality staff training.
  • Promotes hope and healing in the lives of children who have been victims of abuse or neglect.
