Children in foster care need more than a house – they need a home.

When you set up a recurring donation of any amount to Crossroads NOLA, you automatically become a member of the Home Team. Home Team gifts are used to support Crossroads NOLA’s work to recruit, develop, and support foster families.

As a member of the Home Team, you directly impact children and families and help bring home and healing. You make a house a home.

Connect Your Church to Crossroads NOLA

We recruit foster families through local churches. If you’d like to get your church involved in foster care ministry, connect us with a church leader to learn more about partnering together.

Your church or small group can host a respite event! A fun morning or evening for kids, while foster parents take some time to rest, refresh, reconnect, or just go shopping alone!

Bring Hope and Healing Bring a Meal

An easy way to help a foster family is to provide a meal when they’ve welcomed a new child into their home. Sign up below, and we’ll email you when opportunities to cook (or order!) dinner arise.

Administrative Ninja's Needed

Do you like attention to detail? Throughout the year, we occasionally have projects that we need extra help with, such as stuffing envelopes or preparing for a conference.

Join the Volunteer Team

Potential foster families spend months completing paperwork, foster parenting classes, and getting their homes ready. You can put the final touches on their preparations by filling a Foster Family Welcome Basket!

Better Support Together

We partner with other organizations across Southeast Louisiana to help ensure children and families have the resources and support they need to thrive.

  • Advocate for Children in Foster Care in the Courtroom

Children in foster care are extremely vulnerable and often do not have an adult to speak on their behalf. The solution is a CASA – a specially trained advocate, appointed by a judge, who fights for the rights of children throughout their journey in the foster care system. CASAs speak or meet with their appointed child once a month and attend court hearings on behalf of the child. To learn more about becoming a CASA, select your location below:

  • Tutor Children in Foster Care
